The earliest visitors to the Idyllwild Inn arrived by horse and buggy. Located in the heart of the village that has grown up around it, the mountain's first inn has maintained the historic feel of its cabins and theme rooms, some of which date back as far as 1910. All have great fireplaces, some with mantels hand-carved by the sculptor of Idyllwild's famous tree monument.
