The Rocco Forte Chateau de Bagnols, now restored to its former glory, offers its guests a spectacular journey through the history of France. A 13th century castle, the Rocco Forte Chateau de Bagnols is located in the French Beaujolais region. The antique furniture and the specially commissioned decorative items were made by some of the world's finest craftsmen. Antique beds are hung with period velvets and embroideries from the owner's collection. Every detail has been carefully studied to give guests a unique experience of tranquil countryside living. All of the rooms and suites are decorated with antique furniture, some with tapestries or wall paintings dating back to the 15th century. Each room features a bathroom with marble or wood panelling, along with a dressing room. Closed parking area. Conference rooms. The chateau is located around 28km north-west of Lyon in the heart of the beautiful Beaujolais wine country, with stunning views overlooking the valley. This area is known as the "Golden Stone Region", due to the sand-coloured stone that is specific to the locality and that is used in the construction of buildings, resulting in a warm and welcoming look.
