Welcome to Durango, the heart of Colorado & number 39; old and new west! Durango has been a bustling railroad town since the 1880s and today you can still ride the historic steam train from downtown (just a short drive from the Super 8 Motel) through the beautiful San Juan Mountains, to the quaint mining town of Silverton. If you are looking for a little more excitement, you can swoosh down the slopes of the nearby Purgatory ski resort in the winter, raft the raging Animas River during the spring snow melt, or golf in the lushness of a high mountain summer at the famous Tammarron golf course. You can finish your day by enjoying a delicious meal in any of the town & number 39; excellent restaurants and then return to your comfortable room for a good nights rest. The next morning, to speed you on your way, we provide coffee makers in all our rooms so that you can have your first cup as soon as you wake up.

There is river rafting on the Colorado River, 4 wheel drive jeep rentals by yourself or with a guided tour, world famous mountain biking trails, a 3 1/2 star rated golf course and weekly rodeos during season. Adjoining the property is a Denny's Restaurant and other restaurants are located nearby. In nearby shops you can purchase items handcrafted by Native American Indians. We have parking available for large vehicles, a heated pool during warm weather, a hot tub, and a guest laundry. The rooms have a king or queen size beds, remote control cable TV with HBO and ESPN. We also have suites available.
